Life Transitions We
Help Women Navigate:
Pre-Conception Planning
I specialize in working with women on psychiatric medications who are preparing for conception, thoughtfully balancing maternal mental health with infant safety. Care continues through pregnancy with close monitoring and informed, collaborative decision-making to support both mother and baby.
Pregnancy & Postpartum Care
The perinatal period brings profound hormonal shifts, sleep disruption, physical changes, and major life transitions. I provide specialized treatment for mood, anxiety, and other psychiatric conditions during pregnancy and the postpartum period. My approach integrates psychopharmacology, lifestyle optimization, psychotherapy collaboration, and coordination with your OB/GYN — minimizing medication burden without compromising psychiatric stability.
Medication Management while Breastfeeding
I believe every mother should feel empowered to breastfeed if it is her desire. I will help you weigh the risks and benefits of medications and exposures to your baby and do all that I can to help you make informed decisions and navigate the breastfeeding journey that you desire for your baby.
Navigating Motherhood & Life Transitions
Motherhood introduces ongoing emotional, relational, and identity shifts. I work with women to restore balance in their mental and physical health while navigating the demands of family life. Whether addressing anxiety, depression, burnout, or chronic stress, your care is designed to help you function with clarity, resilience, and stability.
Infertility & Pregnancy Loss
Infertility and pregnancy loss can carry profound emotional and psychological weight. I provide compassionate, evidence-based support during seasons of grief, incorporating holistic strategies and medication management when appropriate.
Perimenopause
For many women the first signs of menopause approaching are psychiatric symptoms like irritability, insomnia, mood swings and these can occur 5-8 years prior to menopause ( defined as 1 full year of no menses). I work with you to identify early perimenopause and utilize integrative approaches of nutrition, exercise, supplements and psychopharmacology as well as refer you for hormone replacement therapy when appropriate for management of this period of hormonal transition.

Conditions We Treat:
Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD)
Hormonal shifts across the menstrual cycle can significantly affect mood, anxiety, sleep, and overall functioning — even in women with regular cycles. I provide evaluation and treatment for PMDD and cycle-related mood changes.
Perinatal Depression & Anxiety Disorders
The perinatal period includes pregnancy and up to 12 months postpartum. This time involves profound hormonal, physical, and role transitions that can contribute to depression & anxiety symptoms. I provide individualized, evidence-based care to support emotional stability during this important season of life.
Postpartum OCD & Intrusive Thoughts
Intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviors can develop or worsen during pregnancy and postpartum. I provide specialized, evidence-based treatment while prioritizing both maternal well-being and infant safety.
Depression & Mood Disorders
Mood disorders can present in many ways including persistent sadness, inability to enjoy life and participate meaningfully in relationships and work which lead to a woman not being the best version of herself. Treatment focuses on reducing symptoms through medication management, lifestyle changes, and collaborative care.
Anxiety & Panic Disorders
Persistent worry, panic attacks, and physical symptoms of anxiety can disrupt work, relationships, and daily life. Treatment focuses on reducing symptoms through medication management, lifestyle support, and collaborative care.
PTSD & Trauma-Related Conditions
Trauma can impact emotional regulation, sleep, and a sense of safety long after the event has passed. I provide trauma-informed medication management and coordinate therapy resources to support long-term healing and stability.
Insomnia & Sleep Issues
Sleep disturbances can worsen mood symptoms, and overall mental health. I evaluate underlying contributors and develop personalized strategies to restore consistent, restorative sleep.
